Qubit: CB Insights Unicorn Map July 2022
How many of these unicorns will keep their $1B+ valuation a year from now?
“739 companies in our market map — nearly 2 out of 3 — have joined the unicorn club since the start of 2021.
Since our last analysis in March 2022, the unicorn club has grown in size by 9.8% from 1,066 to 1,170 unicorns. This growth rate is down from the 13.9% increase seen between December 2021 and March 2022.”

These numbers blow my mind...
As an asset class, VC puts up 15.5% IRR median for 10 years. Variance between 0-32.8%.
VC ranked #1 in performance for several years, EMs at top.
I mean, there's no truer venture bet than investing with EMs.

Whether it works or not, some deals will get a lot of attention. Already a win from that perspective. But there are others who prefer to keep things as quiet as possible. Just build their business. The more successful, the more they want to be left alone to keep doing it.
@HarryStebbings Agreed. I’m sure @jasonlk will have a lot to say about this. I’ve joked that the best sales execs I’ve known (that have done extremely well financially) are the best order takers. You won’t be able to hire them unless you have fantastic PMF. They will help you scale.
